A Christmas Bucket List- 2024

You know what time of year it is! It is Christmastime. As I'm sure you know this is my favorite time of the year. I love everything about Christmas, the decorations, the emphasis on giving, the food, the smells, the movies, the music, the weather, and of course the focus on Jesus.
But, unfortunately it can be very easy to miss out on the things that we want to do since the holiday season is also full of shopping, parties, work, midterms and finals. To avoid the chaos, as you probably also know by now, I make a bucket list. This years bucket list is designed to not only help me do the fun seasonal things I would like to do, but also helps me remember that this season is about how Jesus humbled himself by coming to the earth as a baby to ultimately save us.

My favorite kind of bucket list is a bingo bucket list, but check boxes, moodboards, or plain old lists work great too.

Bucket List Tips
I have a few tips to how to make the most of your bucket list. The first is no matter what style you choose, is to put it up somehwere where you’ll see it everyday. This makes you so much more likely to do the things on your list.

Next, make the ideas attainable, things you can do any day you want or that take minimal planning.

And finally, take pictures! These can be of the things on your bucket list or just things you do through the month. Taking pictures solidifies in my mind that something happened and it helps preserve memories.
My Bucket List

My bucket list turned out so cute! I just used Sharpie gel pens and alcohol markers. I decided to go darker (and more vintagey) with the red border and green bow. And the doodles are just that, doodles. I freehand them, but if you want it to look a certain way, you can follow tutorials. I am no artist, but I enjoy doing these small drawings because this bucket list is just for me (and I show you, but I know you won’t judge. Take this as a reminder to not judge yourself so hard on things that are just for fun!)
Bucket List Ideas
Now onto the actual activities!
 • Make fancy hot cocoa (this could be homemade, or just with lots of toppings.)
 • Take cute pictures with your friends (this could be out in the snow, at church, by a Christmas tree, candids at a party, at a coffee shop, or while Christmas shopping. It’s just about taking a little time to create some pinteresty memories with your girls.)
 • Buy a new winter hat or mittens
 • Have a Christmas candlelit reading night (light candles, have a cup of your favorite festive drink, and cozy up with a Christmas book.)
 • Buy or get out your Christmas PJ’s
 • Make garlands (paper chains, orange, cranberry and popcorn)
 • Make diy ornaments
 • Go to a Christmas church service or Choir event
 • Go on a drive looking for Christmas lights

I love this list, Belle! It’s such a beautiful mix of fun traditions and deeper reflections on the season. I’ve been doing some cleaning out this year—renting a dumpster and sorting through old decorations, clothes, and things I don’t need anymore. It’s been so refreshing to make space for the things that truly matter, and now I can focus more on these meaningful activities without the clutter!
