A Collection of Quotes

A few years ago I became an avid collector of quotes. It started out as just copying down a few lines of books that really resonated with me, to seeking out quotes to remember.

As a history nerd, I believe there is great value in learning from the past, and I think that there is no better way to learn from the past then to learn from the words of great men and women who have come before. 
Quotes are little reminders of truth, they are little bits of philosophy to think on, little fragments of wisdom, and free advice.
My collection of quotes contains quotes from famous theologians, scientists, writers, poets, and politicians. But it also contains quotes from fictional characters, and real people I meet. 
I hope to do more posts like this with quotes from different people and with different themes, today's collection is just a general group of quotes that are inspiring to me. I hope they inspire you as well.
