Dreams - A Poem

There’s a little box
Where I store my dreams.
I tuck them away
And they never come out
So it seems.

There’s a castle
High above the clouds.
Where my dreams are real.
They dance about
And sing out loud.

There’s a little book
Where I write all my cares.
Hide the things 
I feel
When it feels like no one cares.

It all feels out of reach.
So far away.
High above the clouds
So high my hands can’t touch it
Stretching them out, can’t catch them today.

I want the stars to be
At my fingertips.
The clouds to swirl
Around me
And gently brush against my lips.

I want my dreams to pull close.
