It's Raining - A Poem

It’s raining cats and dogs.
It’s raining chickens and hogs.
It’s raining pennies from heaven,

And slushies from seven-eleven.
It’s raining frogs and toads
And travelers walking the road.
It’s raining lemon drops and gumdrops.
It’s raining cupcakes and soda pop.
It’s raining ladies wearing eau de cologne,
And teenagers talking on the phone.
It’s raining light sabers and death star wars.
It’s raining musicians on round-the-world tours.
It’s raining rain from the sea
And underneath the ocean is a tree.
It’s raining kids jumping rope,
It’s raining baseballs and pictures of the pope.
It’s raining Marie Antoinette and cake.
It’s raining all the pictures I forgot to take.
It’s raining dragons
And flagons (of cream soda of course).
It’s raining bows and arrows.
It’s raining rainbows and pharaohs.
It’s raining blue skies.
It’s raining goodbyes.
It’s raining YA novels
And villain hovels.
It’s raining shoes
And blue’s clues.
It’s raining golden hair
And ripe juicy pears.
It’s raining random rhymes
For me to catch in time.
Inky things
For me to fling
Onto paper.
It’s raining.
